A destination address

Award-winning historic architecture, string-lit walkways and the landmark water towers make Drayton Mills a place people choose to go.

Local ownership

Retail leasing FAQ

Questions about leasing retail space

What retail space is available at Drayton Mills Marketplace?

An approximately 2,269 SF space with a fully equipped commercial kitchen and a ±1,800 SF patio (part of Suite 101, $3,593 per month NNN), a 1,776 SF storefront that can be retail or office (Suite 120C, $2,368) and a 2,431 SF studio/lounge space coming available (Suite 125). Storefront base rent is $16 per square foot per year NNN; the kitchen space is $19. Rents are quoted NNN — common area maintenance (CAM), property taxes and insurance are billed in addition to base rent — and are subject to change.

Is there a restaurant space with a kitchen?

Yes — about 2,269 SF of the former 1800 Drayton events space has a fully equipped commercial kitchen already in place (gas cooking line, double-stacked convection ovens, fryer, refrigeration, dish machine and prep inventory), an adjoining common area with restrooms and a dedicated ±1,800 SF patio. It is a turnkey upfit for a restaurant, wine bar, bakery, catering commissary, brewery taproom or ghost kitchen, which significantly reduces build-out time and cost for a new concept. Base rent is $3,593 per month ($19 per square foot per year, NNN).

Who shops and eats at Drayton Mills?

Residents first: approximately 700 high-end apartments, including Drayton Mills Lofts, sit within half a mile of the Marketplace. Then the daytime workforce — Spartanburg Medical Center – Mary Black Campus is about half a mile away, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's corporate offices are less than a mile away, and Milliken & Company's corporate headquarters and Converse University are minutes down the road — plus office tenants and their clients on campus, Burn Boot Camp members, Converse University students, east-side Spartanburg neighborhoods and visitors to Dray Bar & Grill and Pi-Squared Pizza.

Is parking available for customers?

Yes. Free on-site surface parking surrounds the Marketplace.
